Your data stays yours.

The Android app works fully offline, with nothing about your patients leaving your device. On the website, only what you choose to save or send is stored.

The Android app collects no personal data and needs no login. The optional web account is used only to manage your plan and access.
In the Android app, all drug and calculation data is stored locally in a SQLite database on your device. On the website, calculations run in your browser and OPD patient records stay in your browser’s local storage.
Firebase Analytics is used for anonymous, aggregated usage data only.
Website account. If you create an account we store your name, email, role and plan. Prescriptions, health reports and your clinic letterhead are saved to your account only when you press Save. They are kept in Google Firebase (Firestore, Mumbai region), can be read only by you, and you can delete any saved item at any time. Appointment requests (parent name, phone, child’s age, notes) are visible only to the clinic. To have your account data deleted, contact us through the Contact section.
Subscriptions are billed through Google Play Billing — no card details are ever stored in the app.
The app shows no ads.

Which dose calculation formulas are included?
Bal Chikitsa includes 7 standard formulas — Young's, Cowling's, Clarke's, Dilling's, Fried's, Body Weight, and BSA-based calculations — with step-by-step guidance.
Is this app for Ayurvedic doctors only?
While designed specifically for Kaumarbhritya (Ayurvedic Pediatrics) practitioners and students, MD scholars, UG students, and researchers in related fields will also find it useful.
How many drugs are in the database?
The app currently includes 200+ Ayurvedic drugs with complete details — Rasa, Guna, Virya, Vipaka, Prabhava, Anupana, Sevana Kaal, and clinical pearls from classical references.
Is my data safe?
Yes. The Android app does not collect personal or patient data. On the website, calculations run in your browser; only items you explicitly save (reports, prescriptions, letterhead) or send (appointment request) are stored, privately, in your account. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Bal Chikitsa supports clinical decision-making — it does not replace it.

For qualified practitioners. All doses, schedules, growth assessments and Basti quantities are reference calculations based on classical Ayurvedic texts, IAP/WHO standards and published formulae. They must be verified by a registered medical practitioner against the individual child before any prescription or procedure.
Not for emergencies. Bal Chikitsa is not a diagnostic tool and is not meant for emergency care. For fever with lethargy, breathing difficulty, convulsions, dehydration or any serious illness, take the child to the nearest hospital immediately.
Parents & caregivers. Please do not self-medicate a child based on these results. Consult a qualified paediatrician or Kaumarbhritya Vaidya.
